On Saturday, January 13, 2013 the Orange County Great Park will partner with Chapman University baseball, Elite Baseball and i9 Sports to conduct a FREE one day Baseball Clinic for kids ages 7-12 years old. During this one day clinic participants will receive hands on instruction from a college coach and several current college and professional baseball players on the basic fundamentals of the sport including hitting, defensive drills, throwing and fielding. Instructors will also teach specialized skills such as bunting, double plays, outfield/infield relays and base running. Participants should wear athletic clothing (baseball pants or shorts without belt loops or pockets, t-shirt and athletic shoes or rubber cleats), and bring their own bat, glove, lunch and water.
