2012 Great Park Movie on the Lawn Series To Premier with Transformers

IRVINE– Come see the Autobots take on the evil Decepticons when the Great Park Movie on the Lawn series premiers on the big screen with the 2007 blockbuster hit Transformers on Saturday, May 5 at sunset.
Admission and parking are free, and visitors are encouraged to bring beach chairs, blankets and snacks for this family-friendly outdoor movie experience under the stars. Movies begin at sunset. Warm clothing is recommended.
Be sure to come back for some good laughs when actor, comedian and Emmy Award winner Steve Martin and Academy Award winner Kevin Kline star in the next Great Park Movie on the Lawn showing of The Pink Panther on Saturday, June 2. Other upcoming Movies on the Lawn include Captain America: The First Avenger on June 16, HOP on June 23 and Kung Fu Panda 2 on June 30. All movies begin at sunset, weather permitting. About the Great Park
The Orange County Great Park, with its approximately 1,300-acre master plan, is the focal point of the redevelopment of the publicly-owned portion of the 4,700-acre former Marine Corps Air Station, El Toro. The Great Park features an iconic tethered helium balloon that rises 400 feet in the air, providing an aerial view of Park development. Other features include the Carousel, Farm + Food Lab, Kids Rock Playground, Walkable Timeline, Palm Court Arts Complex, North Lawn recreation area and historic Hangar 244. The South Lawn lighted soccer fields and Community Garden will be added in the next phase of construction.
