Ambassador Volunteer Program

The Position:
The Orange County Great Park Volunteer Ambassador Program gives individuals a unique and exciting opportunity to promote the Great Park and engage with the Orange County community, refine public speaking and presentation skills, build problem solving and leadership skills and meet new people. The Ambassador Program is a year-round program offering flexible volunteer hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Great Park Ambassadors represent the Orange County Great Park at Great Park signature events and community outreach events not held at the Orange County Great Park; serve as volunteer leads and volunteers for special events and educational programming activities; answer questions from the public and distribute information; describe the history and planned future of the Orange County Great Park; and identify community groups to host and conduct presentations.
Ambassadors are required to attend 15 hours of training and perform 40 hours of volunteer work. While the Orange County Great Park Ambassador Program is a volunteer opportunity, Ambassadors receive a $300 stipend. The stipend will be awarded at the completion of the required hours in recognition of the volunteer’s time, travel and commitment to the Orange County Great Park.
