Concert Pianist and Artist-in-Residence Kevin Kwan Loucks and Piano Soloist Jodie Lee to Perform Four-Hand Extravaganza!
Two Pianists to Perform at Same Piano

IRVINE – Hear concert pianist and Artist-in-Residence Kevin Kwan Loucks along with soloist and chamber musician Jodie Lee perform a Four-Hand Extravaganza juxtaposing the musical forces of Mozart and Dvorak on the same piano. The Foundation for the Great Park is sponsoring the Kevin Kwan Loucks Chamber Music Series, a unique music immersion program, featuring world-class performances, lectures and open rehearsals that are all free to the public. Space is limited, and seats will be available on a first come, first served basis.
The Lee-Loucks Piano Duo will make their professional debut at the Great Park this Saturday, February 25 at 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the Great Park Palm Court Arts Complex in the Artists Studios by presenting two pieces by Mozart, the first composer to employ two pianists at the same piano, which is one of the most popular forms of music-making among amateurs and professionals today. The performance will feature Dvorak’s Slavonic Dances.
Kevin Kwan Loucks is a critically-acclaimed pianist and graduate of the Juilliard School in New York. He has performed throughout the world including Prösels Castle in Italy, Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. He is currently completing his Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Stony Brook University where he served as Head of Piano for the Pre-College Division and Teaching Assistant for both the Emerson String Quartet and the Graduate Chamber Music Program. Kevin Kwan Loucks’ artist residency is sponsored by the Orange County Great Park with support from the Foundation for the Great Park. A Yamaha Piano has been provided by the Yamaha Corporation of America.
As a soloist and chamber musician Jodie Lee has been featured at the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music, where she received most of her training. She was a founding member of the piano trio, Trio Danzka and was invited to the Chamber Music Residency Program at Banff Centre. She will be presented in recital at the Heliconian Hall in May with Kevin Kwan Loucks.
