They Joined the Team to Build the Dream

Thousands of people in Orange County joined the team
To help to build what we call, the “Great Park” dream
And in time you will see and then you all will agree
That this dedicated team is making, Irvine, Calif. History.

It’s not easy to craft a world class park that pleases everyone,
As a matter of fact, it’s probably one of the toughest jobs under the sun!
Very few people I know, would even know where to start
Because it requires special skills, like in making an object of art.

It’s simply amazing the great number of ideas that come to light
When a team pulls together with their resources and insight.
The fact that we’re making progress, is to everyone’s true desire
And to all who haven’t joined our team, we hope it does inspire.

Of course, every great idea has its share of detractors,
You can’t ignore it, it’s just one of life’s factors
But as our team builds and develops day by day,
Never let it be said, that we’re not here to stay!

We all know that a job well done is a job done right
And that it will take time to build greatness at our wonderful site.
We feel, one and all, that it’s our duty and our destiny,
To create the greatest park, that there could ever be!

So, to those of you not on board, please don’t complain,
Come and work along with us, by joining our campaign.
And in the very best interest, of our entire community
Bring us all together, in that spirit of Irvine unity!
