Farmers to Flyers Exhibit

Farmers to Flyers Exhibit

The Fullerton Aboretum has unveiled a new exhibit entitled, Farmers to Flyers: MCAS El Toro and Mid-Century Orange County. The exhibit interprets El Toro Marine Corps Air Station’s impact on Orange County, from agricultural to military land and activity, particularly between 1930 and 1955.

The exhibit also features oral history interviews of veterans and civilians stationed at El Toro, captured by Cal State Fullerton’s Center for Oral and Public History, the Corporation’s collaborative partners in the Great Park’s Oral History Project.

Farmers to Flyers will be on display now through December 10th at the Orange County Agricultural and Nikkei Heritage Museum in the Fullerton Arboretum. The museum is open on weekends from 11:00 AM-3:00 PM. For directions, please visit fullertonarboretum.org.
