Board Vacancy

The Orange County Great Park Corporation Board of Directors invites individuals to submit their interest and qualifications to fill a vacant position on the Board of Directors.

The successful candidate will complete the 3 ½ years remaining in the term of this recently vacated position. The Board seeks an individual with commitment, energy and time to devote to the charge of the Orange County Great Park Corporation – to plan, develop, maintain and operate the Orange County Great Park. This is a highly public, volunteer position and requires some of the following:

• A time commitment of attendance at two meetings each month, generally the second and fourth Thursdays, at 1:00 pm. This would include reviewing of staff reports and information to become informed about, and make decisions on, the issues surrounding building the Great Park.
• The potential for attendance at other night or weekend events or additional meetings.
• Possible public speaking opportunities representing the Corporation to local organizations.
• The ability to think locally as well as globally.

Your experience in development, finance, civic or private achievements or, simply a general desire to be a part of a hard working, dynamic group of individuals who seek to build a world-class metropolitan park, are key considerations for this position.
