Community Based Meetings and Surveys Bring Residents Into Planning Process

Beginning this spring, the Orange County Great Park Corporation will undertake a community needs assessment to provide Orange County residents the opportunity to offer their views on how to make the Orange County Great Park truly great.

The needs assessment will involve presentations to community organizations, public meetings and interviews, and a survey of county residents.

Residents will also be encouraged to express their desires for the Great Park here on the new Great Park website.

The website will also keep residents informed of opportunities to participate in the planning and design of the Great Park.

Michael Pinto, Chair of the Great Park Design Committee, encourages residents to participate in the Great Park planning process.

“The Orange County Great Park will be designed to serve the needs of County residents now and in the future. It is very important that we know what residents want before the designers go to work. This is your opportunity to learn more about the Great Park design process and tell park designers what you want the Great Park to be.”
