Preserving Heritage
The voices of veterans and civilian personnel who served at El Toro are being preserved through a unique program conducted by the Cal State Fullerton’s Center for Oral and Public History in conjunction with the Orange County Great Corporation known as the Great Park History Program. Its aim is to build a comprehensive program that documents and preserves the history of Great Park lands both prior to and during the transition from the Marine Corps Air Station at El Toro to the Orange County Great Park.
The Great Park History Program consists of the following program components:
- Oral History Project (sample interviews)
- The Legacy Project
- Archives Project
