Boarding Passes

In order to obtain a boarding pass, all passengers are required to sign a waiver at the registration desk of the Visitors Center. You must have a boarding pass prior to flying the balloon.

General Restrictions

There are NO age, height, or health restrictions. Children 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult and babies must be held in a parent’s arms – strollers are not permitted on the gondola but may be left next to the balloon queue.

Weather Conditons

Flights and availability on the Great Park Balloon are subject to winds and weather conditions.

Passengers with Mobility Disabilities

The balloon is wheelchair accessible allowing guests with wheelchairs and Electric Convenience Vehicles (ECV) no larger than 25” wide by 48.5” long to remain in their wheelchair/EVC during their flight.

Should the wheelchair/EVC exceed this dimension, passengers have the option, if they are able to change chairs, to transfer to a standard wheelchair (provided by The Great Park Balloon Visitors Center) or to a folding chair placed in the gondola.

Group Reservations

Groups of 10 or more may make reservations for Thursdays. Although reservations are made for a specific time and date, flights may be canceled or postponed at any time due to the unpredictable nature of wind and weather conditions. Please be aware that large groups may be split up into smaller flights due to winds.

A reservation does not guarantee your group to cut to the front of the whole line. It does, however, allow your group to bypass the wait in the Visitors Center which can be anywhere from 15 minutes to two hours. The wait time in the balloon queue is generally no longer than 15 minutes, weather permitting.

In your message please include the following: your name, your company (if applicable), how many people in your group and the preferable date and time you would like to fly.
