Exceptional music and dance concerts return this summer at the Orange County Great Park’s third Flights & Sounds Summer Festival.
Free dance lessons at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays will warm up the dance floor before the live bands perform at 8:00 p.m. On Saturdays, audiences will enjoy proven musical favorites and unexpected discoveries, in a temporary concert pavilion at 8:00 p.m., located next to the Great Park Balloon. Limited seating is available, so lawn chairs permitted. Leashed pets are welcome, except in the Hangar Café. Flights & Sounds is presented by the Orange County Great Park Corporation in partnership with the Irvine Barclay Theatre.
Hangar Café
Time(s): 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
The Hangar Café returns, with an eclectic menu (PDF, 971 KB) of hot and cold entrées, salads, snacks, drinks, and more. A selection of beer and wine will also be available for purchase. (You must be 21 or over to purchase or consume alcohol. ID required. Bringing alcohol to the Orange County Great Park is prohibited). Visitors can purchase food on-site or pre-order a picnic dinner for pick-up upon arrival (coming soon).
Saturday Night Comedy Corner
Time(s): 7:00 p.m.
Location: Hangar Café Terrace
Just outside the café, local stand-up comedians and comediennes (seen on Comedy Central, the Tonight Show, Last Comic Standing, at the Improv, and more) will perform every Saturday at 7:00 p.m. before each concert. Performance schedule below.
