Savory Senegalese

Located off the Atlantic Coast with heavy influences from the sea, food from Senegal is a unique infusion of flavorsome North African, French, and Portuguese cuisines, rich in color and refined in taste.  Traditional native heritage has been skillfully blended with colonial elements to create what is now considered the mainstay of West African cuisine.  Broaden your horizons and find out just how pleasing the culinary delights of this nation can be.

This program is produced by the City of Irvine’s Community Services Urban Agricultural Programs Division, and is supported by volunteers from Slow Foods Orange County.
