Great Park Presents 2013 Chamber Music Series Featuring Acclaimed Classical Concert Pianist Kevin Kwan Loucks
Former Great Park Artist-in-Residence returns for series of performances in the Palm Court Arts Complex
IRVINE – Highly acclaimed classical concert pianist and former Great Park Artist-in-Residence Kevin Kwan Loucks will return to the Palm Court Arts Complex at the Great Park as a performer and curator of a lively series of immersive chamber concerts beginning Saturday, January 26. In addition to Loucks, the 2013 Great Park Chamber Music Series will feature guest artists Iryna Krechkovsky, Kimberly Patterson, Ross Gasworth and Bill Kalinkos. Loucks and his ensemble will perform a series of passionate and creative classical music programs that Kwan has titled French Impressions, Virtuosic Fantasies and Music for the End of Time. The performances will take place on select Saturdays through the end of March.
French Impressions will feature Loucks along with Iryna Krechkovsky on violin and Kimberly Patterson on cello on January 26. Loucks and violinist Iryna Krechkovsky will perform Virtuosic Fantasies on February 23 and Music for the End of Time will feature Loucks on piano, Krechkovsky on violin, Bill Kalinkos on clarinet and Ross Gasworth on cello on March 30. All performances will begin at 2:00 p.m. Seating is limited – seat passes will be distributed at 1:30 p.m.
About Kevin Kwan Loucks
Kevin Kwan Loucks is a critically-acclaimed pianist and graduate of the Juilliard School in New York. He has performed throughout the world including Prösels Castle in Italy, Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. He is currently completing his Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Stony Brook University where he served as Head of Piano for the Pre-College Division and Teaching Assistant for both the Emerson String Quartet the Graduate Chamber Music Program.
