Just In Time for Fall – Cool Food

It’s cool season… let’s get things growing! Learn lots of tips, tricks and treasures for your veggie garden, including a variety of productive and beautiful choices for your harvest basket from now until spring. Your veggies will be sprouting in no time!
Native Plants in the Home Garden

Backyard Orchards

Do you wish you could step outside your door and pick fresh fruit from your very own orchard? It’s easier than you think. Learn about chill hours, how to plant, and most importantly WHAT to plant. You will get recommendations for the best fruit trees for our area whether you live in the coastal or inland regions.
Family Gardening

Celebrate the camaraderie of gardening with your family! Inspire budding green thumbs by involving your children in plant selection, planting, cultivating and harvesting. Then take your bounty to the kitchen and prepare a family meal together. Learn tips, recipes and crafts that will enhance you and your family’s gardening pleasure.
Composting

Recycle your garden’s greens and browns, add a little water and let the air circulate throughout and – tada! – you have compost! Ease into nature’s recycling by learning to make the earthy, dark, crumbly substance to add to houseplants or enrich garden soil. Get recommendations on bins and expert advice to make compost happen!
