Ambassador Volunteer Program
Make a difference this summer—be an Orange County Great Park Ambassador! The Orange County Great Park Ambassador Program will give individuals a unique and exciting opportunity to engage with the greater Orange County community, refine public speaking and presentation skills, build problem solving and leadership skills, and meet new people. The Ambassador Program is a year-round program to offer flexible volunteer hours. For more information, please visit www.cityofirvine.org/jobs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Great Park Ambassador will be responsible for and expected to identify community groups to host and conduct presentations; describe the history and planned future of the Great Park; answer questions from the public; distribute information; represent the Great Park at the Preview Park and at community events not held at the Park; and support educational programming activities and other special events.
Overall, the Ambassador will be required to attend 15 hours of training and perform 40 hours of volunteer work including two presentation hours annually. While the Orange County Great Park Ambassador Program is a volunteer opportunity, Ambassadors will receive a $300 stipend. The stipend will be awarded at the completion of the required hours in recognition of the volunteer’s time, travel and commitment to the Orange County Great Park.
